Yoga practice means building a “personal practice” or performing sadhana (sadhana-bhakti). In all other yoga paths, sadhana is the means to an end, but on the path of Bhakti the means becomes the end. As our natural spiritual love is awakened, our service to the Supreme Person becomes an experience of unlimited and ecstatic joy which continues eternally.

In this age / time the central or foundational practice for enlightenment is the hearing and reciting or singing of transcendental sound – mantra – or names of God/Bhagavan.

And of all forms of chanting these sacred sounds, Kirtan is the best means. Sankirtan – group or congregational chanting, is the most effective and efficient means to bring internal purification and full enlightenment.

The essence of Bhakti is developing a mood of humility and of service to God and to others which is the foundation of a sadhaka’s daily life.
