Some folks asked me to post this. At 1:15min in there is an explanation about what Kirtan is and about the history behind the modern kirtan movement and it’s “Father”, Sri Chaitanya Maharprabhu who appeared in India just over 500 years ago.
The opening Nityananda – Chaitanya chant is being led by Bali Maharaj. After the talk, there are 3 clips. A mahamantra cover chant to the Elvis hit – “Fools Rush In”, then the English version of the 3rd prayer of Sri Chaitanya’s Famous Sikshastaka prayers, followed by the Sri Narashinga Pranam – a powerful mantra for protection on our spiritual journey.
